ABA Therapy
BuiltWithNOF

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) has been used in the treatment of Autism for more than 30 years.  Dr. Ivar Lovaas at UCLA published his research in 1973 that demonstrated the effectiveness of ABA in treating various problems in autistic children. Over the years research continues to provide support for the use of ABA treatments with autistic children.

Because Autism affects multiple levels of an individual’s functioning (including language, social, and adaptive skills) treatment needs to also target many areas.  Autistic children often require help in self-help skills, sensory issues, social skills, behavior management, compliance skills, and language acquisition. Our intensive behavior program provides a customized program that addresses these areas.  Our programs use Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and discrete trial therapy to address these areas. These services are typically provided in the home by behavioral therapists. The team of therapist typically ranges from 2 to 5 therapists with oversight and supervision by doctoral-level behavior consultants.
